PPC Specialist

Alister is a creative agency that believes in making it big in the little leagues. We help entrepreneurs, small businesses and startups launch and grow their brand through web development, video production and ads.

As a PPC specialist, you will be responsible for running both internal and client campaigns and making recommendations on how to improve conversion rates and engagement on client websites. You will work closely with our creative and development team to ensure all aspects of the campaigns we are running are optimized and profitable. 

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio or metrics from past campaigns that they can show. You should be proficient with Google Ads, Analytics and Tag Manager. Experience A/B testing and suggesting conversion improvements to websites is an asset that could weigh heavily in your favour. 

We are looking for someone who is data-driven, continuously looking to optimize, has a great attitude and is always eager to learn and grow. We are a small team so you will have lots of opportunity to grow and expand this position should that be one of your goals. 

Minimal direct client contact will be required, but an openness to interacting with clients when needed is appreciated and considered an asset. 

This is an hourly contractor/freelance position, all work shall be conducted remotely. 

Ideally you:

  • Have 2-3 years running PPC campaigns
  • Are proficient in Google Ads, Analytics, Tag Manager
  • Have managed all aspects of campaigns in the past (B2B & B2C)
  • Have a strong understanding of funnels and conversion best practices
  • Experience working with other freelancers
  • Have a basic understanding of Notion for project management
  • Have a holistic approach to campaigns, from high-level strategy to small details
  • Have a portfolio or past examples of campaigns you have managed
  • Are currently ready and able to work in Canada

Nice to haves:

  • Experience with Hotjar
  • Experience with A/B testing platforms and principles
  • Ability to understand and speak French
  • Email marketing design experience
  • Linkedin ads experience

What you’ll be doing:

  • Develop or contribute to overall campaign strategy
  • Leverage tools and AI to optimize landing pages for campaigns
  • Write compelling ad copy 
  • Brief designers on assets needed 
  • Monitor and optimize campaigns to ensure maximum ROAS
  • Analyze campaign data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and present reports on campaign performance and recommendations

What you’ll get:

  • $25 - $30 per hour (based on experience) minimum of 10-15 hours per week.
  • We’ll reimburse a subscription of your choice (up to $300/annually)
  • Ex: gym membership, creative cloud, healthcare plan/insurance
  • $300 for courses, training or professional development of your choice
  • Make your own hours (available for team meetings 1-2 times per week during standard business hours)
